Dr. Benjamin Bedore, B.A., DVM has joined our staff and is able to treat the following:

  • non-venomous snakes
  • birds
  • rabbits
  • guinea pigs
  • ferrets
  • hedgehogs
  • beardies
  • iguanas
  • geckos
  • call to inquire about additional species

Dr. Bedore can also consult on some issues regarding fish.

About Dr. Benjamin Bedore, B.A., DVM

Dr. Bedore grew up in in a small town in central New York. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from Vassar College in 2005. Deciding to leave the purely scientific route and enter veterinary medicine, he graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2011.

Pursuing his interest in exotic animal medicine, he worked under board certified avian specialists in Virginia and Ohio. He has worked with many species of birds, reptiles, and exotic companion mammals, and he still enjoys working with dogs and cats.

Dr. Bedore is married and has several cats and three horses. He had ferrets for over 10 years and is looking forward to adopting more once he is settled in Texas. His hobbies include fishing, beekeeping, and he has started building 18th century Kentucky longrifles.
